This is a program designed to promote musical excellence among Topeka-area students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

What are the qualifications for participating?
- Perform a music solo (voice, piano, string or wind-percussion)
- Be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade during the spring of 2013 (Be under 15 years of age)
- Must live or be schooled within 30 miles of the Topeka capitol building
What are the Awards?
Three cash awards given in each category… Piano, Vocal, Strings, Winds-Percussion.

$200 – 1st Place

$100 – 2nd Place

$50 – 3rd Place
Everyone who participates receives at least three evaluations of their recorded performances. Students who are among the top twenty entries in each category receive an additional two evaluations. The top five in each category receive four more evaluations based on their live performances on Awards night. All participants in the Awards night program will also receive several gifts from local businesses.
